 R924/5 BEAUTIFICATION OF JUMEIRAH ROAD UPGRADING AND BEAUTIFICATION OF 2nd ZAABEEL ROADThis project was launched to improve the traffic in Za'abeel road and was in a very prestigious & VIP location.The principal challenge of this project was to complete the work on schedule with open cut method' without disrupting traffic & minimum disturbance to VIP residential areas.With a high water table, dewatering was a challenge but was carried out with precision.This work involved casting walls up to 15Mtr. height in one pour and 5500m3 of concrete for base slab in one single pour.
All this high volume concrete up to 3Mtr. depth was done keeping in mind the temperature difference to be maintained below 200c between surface and core of the structure.
The total volume of concrete was 63,000m3 and rebar 4,100t.
The project also included a elevated round about on post tensioned deck slab.The architectural finish of the underpass was one of a kind, with Arabic Gold Plated domes, natural Jerusalem stone cladding and patterns.The soft landscaping enhanced the beauty of the underpass and is considered one of the best structures in the emirates.
