 PD/CA/BPS/AG/R21/P147-2014-DOT/14/025 IMPROVEMENT OF MAFRAQ TO AL GHWEIFAT BORDER POST HIGHWAY SECTION 3B; AL MIRFA TO ABU AL ABYADThis project is a very prestigious project in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi. Section 3B form a part of the "Improvement of Mafraq to Al Ghweifat Border Post Highway Section 3B; Al Mirfa to Abu Al Abyad".
This project is a 300km plus expressway linking the Abu Dhabi Emirates to Saudi Arabia. Section 3B consists of 5 bridges, awarded to M/s. StructCon Constructions LLC, from Chainage 200 to Chainage 250.
All the bridges are post tensioned box girder, cast insitu. The project is a challenge in terms of working adjacent to a very busy live traffic throughout the day.
The total concrete in this project is 13,561 m³ and 2,000 tons of rebar.
The project is ongoing and anticipated to complete by 3rd quarter of 2016.
