This project is a very prestigious contract in the Emirates of Ras Al Khaimah, as it forms the ring road from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road to the other side of Ras Al Khaimah (Al-Rams), bypassing the city.  This road will be a critical link for the heavy vehicles transporting cement, aggregate and boulders from the Ras Al Khaimah quarries.  This project is being carried out under the supervision of Ministry of Public Works Abu Dhabi, who are the clients.

 

M/s. StructCon Constructions LLC was awarded all the bridge works and underpasses throughout the length of 29km of expressway.

 

Starting from the bridge at the intersection of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Ras Al Khaimah Ring Road, StructCon is carrying out 7 bridges and 4 underpasses, the work which are in progress.

 

The bridges are all post tensioned box girders and the underpasses are all RCC structures.

 

The total concrete in this project is 23,000m³ and 3,500t of rebar.
